Grass Herbicide and Mondo Grass

I'm having a problem getting grass out of my Mondo Grass (ophiopogon). I can't pull it up, I've been trying for two years. I found a herbicide to kill grass in ornamentals, and it says it is safe to use on Lillyturf (Liriope). Since Mondo grass and Lillyturf are both in the Lilly family, could I use the product on the Mondo? I plan to use a shield and spray very carefully on a calm day. The product contains Fluazifop-P-butyl @^$##^$$@.

Any thoughts? I'm trying to keep a little knowledge from causing a big problem.
