This one is 4 inches wide... it is lavendar, beautiful pastel color, but my camera picked up the blue color. I just love it.

Yum! It looks frilly around the edges! You had me drooling over Josephine & now you roped me in again. LOL
We are gonna have to root some cuttings for each other this summer & do a trade. I think we are both addicted to clematis. Well, I think we are both addicted to alot of things. HA
Really pretty Antoinette. Keep posting the pics so I can keep drooling. :~)

I rooted some in damp vermiculite but was flying by the seat of my pants, not really knowing what I was doing. LOL I had some survive, but I think I will research it a bit this time & see if there is a more reliable method. I will let you know what I find out. Alot of mine will be blooming for the first time this year, that will give me a chance to verify they ARE what the tag claims.
I will let you know what I find out about rooting them.

Edited to say,
Wow! The first site I checked after a google search gave me exactly what we wanted. Pictures too. LOL

Here is a link for various types of propagation methods from the International Clematis Society. http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/clematis/prop.htm
