Does anyone have a problem getting a parent to quit driving? My mother thinks she is the world's greatest when she is actually the worlds luckiest driver. The rest of the world are much better drivers than I usually give them credit for, simply because they have managed to miss her all these years. The family joke is that while she's never had an accident, she also never looked in her rear view mirror to see how many she has caused!
After Dad died, she took to going thrift store shopping daily, so she didn't have to face an empty house. We've distracted her a bit with a new baby, and a wedding, but NOW what do I do? I'd be happy if she'd just stay off the freeways.
Any suggestions?
