Wreath's and Dried Flowers

Riverview, NB(Zone 5b)

I want to make wreaths this coming winter, (2005-2006), and I want to use dried flowers that I plant this year. I would like to sell these wreaths in the spring and summer of 2006.

Here's the problem. I don't know what to grow. I know I can plant some "Lavender", but that's about all I know.

I don't really want to dry flowers that I have to put in a box with borax, but if I have to, in order to accomplish a nice arrangement on the side of the straw wreath's, I suppose I'll have to learn.

I'm looking for ideas and would appreciate any input from my fellow DGners.
