Favorite Iris......
It's very beautiful. Welcome to DG! You'll love it here!
That is a beauty! Do you have the name? I have never seen an iris that distinct.
Thanks!
MJ
Me either is it a Spieces ?
It's lovely. Looks like it's a bulb type.
And welcome. The Iris forum is full of great folks.
I don't know what this iris is but it is little and cute. I may have bought it at walmart a few years ago. Thanks for the kind welcome. Have really enjoyed DG. Sheverne
Is it a dietes? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/572/index.html
That is SO pretty... I have some buds showing, but nothing ready to bloom yet. It's still a litle early here, but I know a few are blooming...
Lovely. We get dietes like this on our mountains in the snow melt wet spots. lovely isolation of subject.
This iris was blooming last year when he snapped its picture. So far no blooms this year. Sheverne
That is a beautiful photo!
Around here they're also called Butterfly Iris. I planted several a few years ago and their beautiful blooms and hardiness is such a nice combination to find for the desert. Just yesterday they were added to my journal but I couldn't find them in PF...and then this morning I came across your post, and there it was!
That's a beautiful Iris. So dainty and elegant.
Susan
