Since I am new to backyard poultry, I have a question that may sound dumb to a lot of you. Do chickens do better in flocks than alone? Is my Henrietta lonely for her own kind?
She seems to really like my dogs but of course they're not in the pen together.

I want her to be happy so should I get another hen?
