Bulbs did not grow

I planted few bulbs last fall, and there is no sign of coming out of the ground. Shouldn't i see the plant growing by this time. I live in 7b zone.

Please advise.

like Kim says depends on what they are.

also would dig around and see if they are still there carefully. with all the rain and ice we had this past winter alot of mine rotted.

Mine rotted out from being too wet this winter :( I guess drainage is pretty key in weather like that...
