Trojan virus-Downloader.Newest Anyone battled it?

Guess what I got today? LOL Okay, virus alert, pop up trauma has hit. If I try to open in safe mode, I get the blue screen of death. I ran a virus scan on the C drive and pulled up 8 virus files. I quarentined them all and attempted to permanently delete them. The only one that keeps failing is the winnupdt.exe (I think that was the name). Hubby was trying to help me from work where he is busy fixing other people's computer problems. LOL

Anyway, this thing updates itself every ten seconds and I get all those pop ups. There is no way to get into the process tabs, safe mode or anything else that will allow me to get rid of it. That computer is turned off and I am using hubby's laptop.

Anybody have a clue on how to get rid of this thing??
