Please help! my milkweed is all covered with tiny yellow bugs - they move very little - but the stems, flowers, etc. are all covered with them. I can easily squash them by hand but don't want to affect the butterfly eggs which are interspersed all through the yellow bugs.
Should I leave them alone? will they destroy the butterfly eggs? they don't seem to be affecting the plant much.
Milkweed pests and butterfly garden
The picture is blurry but I'm relatively sure those are mikweed aphids and those do not cause any harm to the (monarch?) eggs.
Milan
That's what they look like to me too.
Can you take another picture so I can see the butterfly eggs??
P L E A S E ! ! ! Or do I just not know what i should be looking for?
