Evaporative cooling for greenhouse

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

I picked up this evaporative cooler from Home Depot yesterday to use in my greenhouse this summer. The stand can be removed if you want to sit the top part on a table or something.

Cool!

I have been able to cool enough with a mist system mounted at the peak and running the lenght of the gable. It is not over the benches and does not wet the plants but the concrete floor does get wet. It is able to raise the humidity from 35 to 70 %. Al

That looks like the exact evaporative cooler that I got last summer at Home Depot. Mine worked well all summer long in my greenhouse. I've already got it out of storage to start this year.

Awanda,

YOU are one awesome person to post this on the website! I am having a greenhouse built in the backyard soon (18' x 24' x 10') and was contemplating shelling out hundreds of $$$ for a system to be connected to a constant water supply to help keep my orchids nice and happy.

Look out Home Depot (also available on their website too, gang,---www.homedepot.com)

Enjoy!
