Dahlia tubers and gophers?

Received my order of dahlia tubers and am hoping that the gophers don't like them.... does anyone have info/experience regarding this?Thanks..Dottie

You can get bulb cages to put your daliahs in - here because they won't survive the winter and are easier to dig up in the fall. In your zone they would work well to protect them from marauding varmints. I don't have experience with them gophers though, but I know the cages will work to protect them.
