okay question on trumpet vines

what is the difference between a cross vine and a trumpet vine?? is it the same?? we are sitting here trying to figure it for our friend and i honestly only know thee orange trupet vines. campis radicans i think it is.

Yes, Crossvine is the common name for Bignonia capreolata. "Trumpet vine" can refer to several different species which have trumpet type flowers: Campsis radicans, Distictis buccinatoria, Clytostoma callistegioides, Beaumontia grandiflora, etc.

When people use the common term "Trumpet Vine" they are usually referring to Campsis radicans.
