Cut and Painted metal sun clock w/rooster and hens

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I found the hens at Pier One (Mexican) and soon after the wonderful sun clock with moving rooster pendulum below. So now the hens are keeping an eye on the rooster. There is an odd effect with our cold nights and warm days in Denver. The battery chills overnight and the rooster stops moving by morning, although the clock works (I also has a "nonworking" rooster when I took the first battery out of the refrigerator). Then once it warms up, the rooster starts swinging again. A very nice local artist who has a website made the clock, which needs not to get direct water on it. (Mine is under a patio cover.)
