Some awsome looking planters

Lilesville, NC(Zone 7b)

I was just browsing on the internet and found these...I think they are so cute, and would imagine anyone with an imagination can make just about anything they want to outta a old tire, some paint and alot of patience.

Wow are those ever neat! I luv them. Can't afford them and the shipping. I wonder how hard they would be to make. Thanks for the link.

I have 4 truck tires to reycycle for gardening purposes. What do you think the tires were cut with? Was regular house paint used? TIA

PG, yeah they are neat, was thinking of some things to make outta tires, but all i seem to think about is "what to have for dinner" and are the kids' school clothes clean and unwrinkled"...lol so when i get all the mumble jumble outta my head I hope to think of some things.

Janeth, I have not a clue what you would use to cut the tires with...my hubby suggested using tin snips, but i dont know if they would even work...maybe a little hand saw..i have one that fits into you hand, I think it is a dry wall saw of some sort...might try that. If you find a way, Please let me know

Hi, I posted an article how to cut a tire on the Tire container thread.
I used a utility knife it worked well and went through two razor blades.
I then used a lenolium knife and it worked quite well. Hope that helps some.
