I have a garden arch that is in a spot against a garage wall that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. I planted two climbing hydrangeas on either side a few years ago, and they are nice and healthy, but still only halfway up. Can anyone suggest something in the way of a vine or two (annual in my zone is fine) that I can use to "fill out the arch" during the summer months until the baby hydrangeas make it toward the top? I really appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks, Jackie
Help, I need a vine suggestion!
here are a few part shade climbers:
jasmine
clematis-especially the leatherflowers
purple bell vine
cup and saucer vine-(cobaea)
snail vine
tropaoleum peregrinum
Thank you very much.... I appreciate the suggestions!
I planted Lonicera (honeysuckle), I have one yellow. red, and bicolor and I love them. They are fast growers and the hummingbirds just love them. Maybe that is why I have them in four different spots in my yard.LOL
