Looking for vine ideas

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

I have a new metal archway in my back yard. I'm trying to come up with a good vine to plant to cover it. It's about 7' tall and about 6' wide. I've considered Evergreen Wisteria, which I love, but would like something that flowers a little longer. I haven't ruled it out yet, though. I've also considered some type of passiflora. This will pretty much be in full sun.

I'd like something at least hardy to my zone, 9b. I'd also like something that's not going to take over my house and backyard once it gets its footing (i.e., NO wisteria species!). I'd also like to stay away from vines which flower white, pink or lavender/blue. Just not all too interested in them. I prefer reds, oranges, and yellows.

Any good ideas?

thanks!

You can't go wrong with morning glories!

Try the red Cornell Japanese Morning Glory. Here's a link: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/76826/

Try the yellow Ipomoea obscura! http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2635/

Try the scarlet/orange Ipomoea coccinea! http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/51759/

Thanks, all. I really like the Mina lobata. Definitely will be checking into that one. I hadn't thought of a climbing rose - I've got 'Work of Art', but this is a high traffic area and I'm afraid a rose might be a little too prickly. All the morning glories are nice. I've got seeds of the Cypress vine - forgot about those. Might be nice to combine they Cypress vine and the Mina lobata - just have to keep the Cypress vine in check!

Thanks again!
