Hello,
I have had success with strawberries in a pyramid and a jar but the new "grwoing bags is a switch for me that I'm considering? Anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks,
Peter

I haven't even heard of these. Where did you find out about them?
Haven't used them but I will be trying them for the first time this spring. I think we may need to cut a drainage hole in the bottom though, mine doesn't have one! Guess we'll be comparing notes late on huh!

I'd like to try these, too.
Hi Peter. Here are a couple of links to discussions on the growing bags with photos from DG from 2003 & 2004.

Hi,
I found these in one of the recommended DG Watchdog Companies. I think it is Gardeners Supply!
Thanks everyone for the info. I'll keep you apprised of how it all goes.

I get my growing pouches from Mr. Leland Vaughan in Edisto Beach, SC at a place called The Crab Trap. His bags are made of burlap and are very durable and breathable for the plants. No need for drainage holes. I think he charges $6.50 per bag and will mail them to you. He gives a discount for multiple orders, but I'm not sure what his discount is. Here is his address:

He is a very honest guy. I met him at the Flowertown Festival in Summerville, SC...I didn't have anything with me but a credit card. He handed me a bag and told me to just mail him the check for $6.50 when I got a chance. Not many people would do that!
Email me if you need his business phone number.
