I received one of these in trade last year. Can anyone tell me in plain English was it means? Its a cross so its neither Sib or La ?

According to the info you provided, GD is a cross between two species. Iris versicolor is its pod parent, and Iris virginica is its pod parent. These are both beardless species, but neither is a Sib or LA.
I think they call it spiees X
Well darn, I traded for it to put in the pond. Should I take it out :)
Versicolor grows natively here in roadside ditches and swampy areas, and I *think* virginica grows natively in similar circumstances in warmer climates. GD would probably do ok in your pond, though it might do better at pond's edge.

Thank you
