Stenciing as a career?

I've been tossing around the idea of giving up my teaching career and trying to make a living from stenciling. I love doing it so much, but I just don't know if there is a market for it. I live near the Wasington, DC "Technology Corridor", where the "average" home sells for $800,00. My hubby thinks I'm crazy, but it just sounds so darn appealing. Any comments or suggestions?
