thanks for seeds Calalily

Tucson, AZ

I just got your seeds the other day. Thank you very much. There are so many. Should I plant them directly into the ground in a month (it will be warm March 15th) or should I plant them in pots first. I do not have grow lamps. Joanie.

Joanie, you should be able to plant some of them in the ground in March. The clitoria, moonvine and aristolochia seeds will germinate better if you soak them first.
I have planted aristolochia seeds directly in the ground after soaking them but had trouble keeping them watered correctly and lost most of the seedlings. The soil where I planted them would get hard when it dried out and the seedlings died.
I wouldn't plant the solanum or cryptostegia seeds directly in the ground, those seeds are just too teeny to plant like that, but the large seeds should be fine.
