louisianna iris and japanese iris?

Teacher Tazzy...a question ?
I'm not Tazzy, but perhaps I can offer some general info. Siberian, Louisiana, and Japanese irises are different types of rhizomatous (growing from rhizomes), beardless irises. Spuria irises and several species irises (versicolor, pseudacorus, setosa, etc.) also fit into this category.
Dutch irises are bulbous (growing from bulbs) irises.
You can read much more about each of the rhizomatous irises by visiting each iris society's website linked from the following page:
http://www.irises.org/links.htm
Hope that helps,
Laurie
Thanks Laurie, I will check that out in more detail.
Black Gamecock is a Louisiana .and Caesars Brother is a Siberian .
Louisiana's can be grown in water but a No No for Siberians .
Black Gamecock is the only L.A. I have. I would like to add some more later. :)
thanks
