Pansies for Spring?

Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi---Does anyone know which Seed or Plant Catalog specializes in Pansies and Violas?

I found some in 'Seymour Selected Seeds', and some heirloom pansies/violas in 'Select Seeds'---am looking for Pansies with a 'face' and all one (unusual)color--not a mix....

thanks. t.

www.parkseed.com has some. They have some new ones that are really pretty too, terra cotta colors.

My favorite place for pansies: www.harrisseeds.com/

Try http://www.stokeseeds.com/cgi-bin/StokesSeeds.storefront. The growers catalog has lots, ncluding mini pansies and violas. Violas winter well and bloom here in Mid GA even in the bleak days of January and February. They really show their stuff when the weather warms.

Sorry, but I can't get the link to work from this forum. You might have to type in the address manually. When I do this, I get their home page.

Thanks, everybody, for all the links. Surely one of the suppliers will have what I need. Stokes' growers selection is huge.

Just for fun while google-ing Pansies I came up with "Seeds by Size" who has this long list of 'Pansy' seeds available http://www.seeds-by-size.co.uk/pansy-98.htm . Apparently he will send Stateside if you pay US$2. for 1 pound sterling...Mmmm....quite a unique seed set up he has there.

Also found out that the Italians are into hybridizing Pansies and (I think) came up with the terra cottas.

Again thanks. I'll get some on order today. t.
