I'm just learning..........got hooked on orchids at the Philly Flower Show last year.

These dark pruple forms are referred to as 'vinicolors'. Maudiae type hybrids are breed for vinicolors, coloratums (the standard 'wild' colour) and albas (green pouch with white-green striped dorsal sepal. Its hard to imagine that your cross could have been done so that the flowers are green and white rather than the wonderful wine-red colour. Send a pic when fully open.

Enter the common name Tropical lady's-slipper. Put genus as Pahiopedilum, leave out species and place the cross name in the cultivar section. I can't think of any other way to deal with this one.
