We are just back from Paris and bought a book about irises, it is in a french language.

I found it on the internet aswell: http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/2706601973/qid=1104360556/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/171-6184711-0864266

Hi John, and zztopsoil,

I have never read that particular book. It does sound quite good though. Gosh - - -now I'm going to have to buy it!

My favorite one right now is:
Iris: Flower of the Rainbow by Graeme Grosvenor

One of the best books out there on irises. Great photos and hundreds of them!! The information is quite complete and indepth too - so you get the best of both worlds. It's a hardback book, so it may cost a bit more (unless you happen to find a good deal) I hope you do.

John, I have that Iris book too in English. The photos are simply dreamy.

Margie, I'd love a copy of the "Flower of the rainbow "book but I see it is sold out all over the place. Do you have a source or are yoiu just teasing us all?

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hi Wanda,

Looks like I'll have to get that IRIS book now. Curiosity is killing me.

I bought my "Flower of the Rainbow" from either Schreiners or Cooley's about 2 summers ago. It was advertised in their catalog, so I decided that if they thought it was good enough to sell through them - - it had to be a pretty good book.

They didn't say there were any limited quantities or anything. I wonder if it's in short supply right now due to the Christmas and Holiday season.

I see Ebay and Half.com are out. Oh look - - I found one or more on Amazon.com:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0684868520/002-2347967-5386468

Do you have any extra spending money? It's not the cheapest book around. But, it wasn't cheap for me either.

John - lovely photo of your family. They take after you.

My one and only iris book I selected because of Margie's review in the Garden Bookworm. The Gardener's Iris Book
