We went for a ride last night after supper - checking on the neighbors and over to see Stan's brother about hay wagons. On the way home, we came across the Idora swamp road and saw one deer ahead crossing, so Stan slowed the truck down - there's never just one deer. We looked to the left hand side where the doe had come from, and there in the harvested hay field was a young deer - probably a yearling - leaping and running around with a large wild rabbit who was also leaping and running around. One of those strange and wonderful sights that I don't know how you folks in town can live without!
where the deer and the bunnies play
But then Kathleen you know how to capture the picture ad infinitum :-) Maybe you will come up with another wondrous poem!!
