I'm planning on growing some large dahlias in pots next year. I have been trying to come up an inexpensive way to make plastic pots look attractive. I am wondering if it would be possible to cover them with a rather thin layer of Hyper Tufa and just leave it on the pots? I don't want to have to water too much and was thinking that keeping the plastic inside the hyper tufa would mean less watering, plus it would only take a very thin layer to give it texture. Does this sound like something that would work? Any other ideas for covering the pots? I would like something that looks more natural than paint. Maybe just plain Quick-crete?
