This summer I dug up all the Iris.
They were everywhere.
I gave them away by the basketful.
I just now got around to cutting
off the leaves. Some are growing
anew.
As soon as I have the area ready,
I intend to Plant them & all spring
bulbs. I was told they don't need
a lot of water, so I wanted them
seperate from everything else.
I just learned a wonderful thing
to get plants to grow---WATER.
Once I started watering well,
everything I planted grew!!
Except a lot of the Iris Rhizomes
got soggy. Hopefully this will do the
trick.
Patio/GardenShed
This is where I'll be planting
the Iris & Spring Bulbs.
When the weather permits (we
had a freak snow storm last month),
I work 3 or 4 hours a day removing
nails, staples, wire, rocks, etc.
The weather hasn't let up--
It's either raining or blowing a cold wind.
I have to wear snow boots, 2 pairs
of gloves and a coat.--All I need is
a week or 2 of fairly decent weather
to get it all cleaned out, mulch &
compost mixed in and everything
planted.--I'm still waiting (sigh).
KE6KAD, you sound like me! Water? Plants need water to survive? Who knew?!! LOL! My yarden looked sooo much better this year cuz I actually watered and fertilized! What a difference it makes! :-)
Fertilize!!
What's that?!
LOL!! :-)
Wow, can I trade something for some of that open ground?
Terrie
trunnels:
I'll trade you 2 million $$ for it!!
Yowzer! :-0
You would have to get rid of a lot more grass (and probably the house, too) for that much money! LOL
Terrie
Can't hurt to try!!
Lol.
LOL Wish I could buy me a few acres of open ground!
Me too!
