Nov 24 Ditch cleaning

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

They started the process of taking the silt out of the bottem of our creek,(ditch).
Near us is the bottem end, so they started here. I am glad they worked from the oppisite side, all the spoils are being put on that side. We wouldn't have anything big enough to smooth that out to make it fit to plant in next summer.
It was dark when we came home tonight, but I think they took out a couple of volunteer trees we had on our side. Will sure change the look of the area.
This is supposed to help out the water deal in big rains.
This pic is last June when we had 3 or 4 inches overnight. It did go dowm in a short time, none of our crops were hurt. Did lose a few rows of plastic mulch over cucumbers. It kind of floated up, out of the trenches holding it down. There was a couple of feet of water there.
The trees they took out are in the middle of the picture.
