My Sleeping Iris Beds

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

I find it particularly sad to look at my beds this time of the year. All of my iris are asleep and awaiting spring. Are all of you Iris Queens ready for winter?

NO NEVER

Tazzy--I know you are inside bundled up by the glow of your warm computer.
Post some of your iris photos. We can pretend it's March instead.

More poor sleeping beds. I want to add more iris in the spring--maybe early blooming dwarfs or big old droopy historicals. Can't let the daylilies take over my gardens!

John, your gardens look very dramatic in the snow!

My beds have a tiny bit of snow on them now and a good layer of mulch. It's going to dip below zero tonight and we'll need all the cover we can get....
