Stomach/back pain

I have been having horrible back pains that remind me of a gallbladder attack. My doctor thinks it is acid reflux and I am on Nexium. From what I understand the back pain is a referred pain from my stomach. The doctor prescribed two pain medicines and a muscle relaxer and none of this took the back pain away. Does anyone have a clue how to get rid of this pain?
