ideal for xeriscaping, useful for humans and animals, abundant in Crete, they seem to have vanished from information books. Does anyone know a few things about them?? I have about 20 such trees - some old, some new. I don't know how to look after them, how to increase and show their beauty, how to protect them. Any info would be welcome.
Anyone wanting seeds, in September I will have more than I can handle.

Hi IRIS!!
many thanks, very helpful info. Still, I am trying to find how to separate the tannins from the sugars, how to get the glue (gelatin) out of the pips, I even want to find what traits are characteristic for each subspecies.
If you find anything, please let me know.

If I come across some of the info your looking for, I will surely send it your way... Iris
Would love some seeds in September or maybe a extra seedling if you have one or two.

It will be a pleasure. Please remember to send me an email then.
