Scale insects on ficus nerifolia

Hello,

I am new to this forum and new to bonsai, I have 2 ficus nerafolia that I am growing for bonsai and discovered what I think are scale insects on them!

Has anyone delt with this problem and know how to get rid of them?

I hope this is the right place to post, I also posted this in the tropicals forum.

I scrape them off with a toothpick or such and then go over the area with a Q-tip dipped in 90% alcohol.
