These fruit have been on the vine since about middle July, hard freeze expected this week,
So I dug vine out of ground and potted up,and brought inside,if so how long is it normally
from fruit to ripening on vine, been over 4 months now.
Edulis fruit, chances ripening inside during winter.
My edulis has two fruits, one from August, which is finally starting to turn, and one from September, which is larger, but not ripening yet... maybe the difference in temperatures between TX and KS is the reason yours aren't ready yet?
You might be right about the temperatures, but mine has been inside now a month, with daytime temps,in the high 80* range, and nite time temps, low 70* range.Very warm and humid, about 75% humidity inside most of the time.
Time will tell, and I hope they ripen.
