2004 crops

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

How were the field crops in your area? Southern MN set a record for corn this year. Farmers can't figure where the yeild came from. We had a fiarly cold summer, but Sept & Oct were warmer than usual. No killing frost until all crops were mature. Every elevator has corn pilled on the ground.
Lots of yeilds of 200 bushels or more per acre. Soybeans were average or slightly lower, 40 to 45 bushels per acre.
Beef cattle are still on summer pastures, as the grass has continued to grow nicely.
Granddaughter just arrived, so it must be time to start the day!
