I have a 12' x 24' room (10' ceiling) that is used as my "greenhouse" in the winter. I have several fluorescent light fixtures hung to provide light, but need more light than what I currently have.
Does anyone know or have experience about using a security light inside a room for plants?

Are you needing lighting for the plants, or task lighting so you can see better?
I need more light for the plants.
I'm no lighting expert, but I don't *think* security lights (they're usually halogen or incandescent, aren't they?) will have the proper spectrum for plants. And with that, we've pretty much explored the depths of my knowledge of lights ;o) Is there any reason you can't add more flourescent fixtures?
Hopefully some other folks will come along and shed some light (groan, bad pun, I know) on the subject.
Yo, Terry, that way way too enlightening!
