Trying to get FEMA compensation is a joke. All I get is the following message: "Due to the extremely high number of calls, we are unable to take your call at this time." I've been trying to contact them for 2 weeks. I know theres alot of people in line, but this is riduclous, If they have all this money, they need to hire more people. I can't even get them on the phone. Is anyone else having this problem?
FEMA DOESN'T EVEN ANSWER THE TELEPHONE !
My sister (in Kissimmee) started trying to contact them after Charley but didn't get anyone until after Frances. She was very frustrated, has received no help from FEMA except a FEMA man did finally look at her house to tell her it's unliveable and will have to be entirely gutted after the roof gets repaired.
The election is near. They will answer. When they do start answering I might even get hurricane repairs! :-)
