i ordered a butterfly bush from parks was broke on arrival going to replace it but my question is this:
on arrival it was in a y shape. part of the y was broke down the main stem. if i cut that part off will the rest of it survive?? its in a quart size pot right now. thanks for any help. Marie

It should survive just fine.....as long as the roots are in good shape.
My Father was a Master Gardener, he once showed me how to mend a partly broken stem. He wrapped it very tightly back to where it was broken, it suppose to heal itself. I have done that several time and been successfull, even having used floral tape on small stems, or black electrical tape so water will not interfere.
