Propane heater

Longview, TX

Just wondering what type of propane heater could be used for a small greenhouse? I am trying to build a new gh in the near future and wonder how to heat it. I only plan to heat it during bad weather only. Mostly I dont have much freezing weather. But if I do I dont want electric heat...we have ice storms once or twice a year. Any ideas?>

It has to be a vented heater so the fumes go outside . it can be old type or newer type. newer type use less gas/propane

Get an LB White, it doesn't require a ventpipe....

or if it's a real small greenhouse use a Radiant Heater.... they're pretty efficient.

Radiant Heater??? Does it require electricity??? I am not going to be having any to my new portable GH and was wondering how I should heat it. 6x10' and only on days that the weather is forcasted to be below freezing. That should be a dozen days max!
Thanks,

radiant heaters are like those ones with the lil pads.
no electricity required, just a pilot light.
some types can be hooked up to a thermostat.

you can buy them around here for $200 new, or once in awhile find a few for $20 used of course but usable.
We heated our whole house one winter with 100 gallons of propane.
