I hope I didn't goof up. I'm going to visit a fellow DGer and I wanted to bring her a peony to grow. They have already gone to seed, so I just pulled out a couple of stalks, with root and tubers (?) attached. Will this work?

certainly should... plant crown about 2" deep.
Fortunately the recipient was more knowledgable than I, and she knew just what to do! And I am learning. (Learning how little I know and that I found the best place to learn!)
