My mom recently passed away. I am trying to take care of her flowers. In these flowers she has about 10 exotic Desert Roses. They where doing just fine through 2 moves and 2 hurricanes - but now seem to have attracted some sort of creepy crawly. I in no way shape or form inherited my mom's ability to care for plants so I am in the dark with how to get rid of these creatures. As you can imagine I am concerned that I will ruin her plants - that would break my heart. Can someone help me. I am attaching a picture of the pest. I was going to do soapy water and spray them - but becuase they are so special I want to hear from the experts first.
Thank you in advance for any tips or tricks.
How Do I defend against this? Desert Rose with creepy crawly
Squeaky, that looks like an Oleander Moth http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/365722/ caterpillar
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/363631/. Is it actually doing damage or maybe just passing through? Weird to see it on a Desert Rose...
Hello Floridian,
Yes - it sure looks like the same creature.
How can I keep them off my plants?
Thanks,
Kim
