My sunflowers are just starting to go to seed, but aren't quite there. Anyone know of a good method for me to use, that is inexpensive, to keep the birds out of them? I posted on Seed Saving as well, but have a hard time getting answers on that forum quite often.
Question on SAVING Sunflower Seeds
You could cover them with some type of airy fabric or nylon to allow air circulation so the seeds don't get moldy.
I think I'm going to go ahead and use some cheesecloth so I don't gross out the people driving past the house (we're on a corner lot and it's facing the street). Now if I could just get out there - it's been raining.
