I was pruning a little this morning, this was growing up a pampas grass,I didn't notice it until it
was too late, already cut it down, has a citrus fragrance, notice the grouping of 3 leaves, saying says let it be!!!!
The flower looks just like a citrus flower to me,any ideas???
Id mystery vine
the flower reminds me of sweet autumn clematis, although the leaves look a little small
Do the leaves come in 3's on sweet clematis?
Thanks
Look at the 'bell' flowers on the right side of the first picture.
Sweet Autumn (C. terniflora) does not have that flower,
nor does the leaf look like C. terniflora.
Taramark.
are those roots in second photo near the right? under the leaf near the stem? I couldn't tell if it was trying to root or if that is something shining off the underside of the leaf, sorry. It sure does look familiar to me though. will keep thinking...
OB,no those aren't roots,I made the cut about 2ft off the ground climbing up the side of a pampas grass.
Thanks
Ok didn't think so, but couldnt' positively tell, thanks, that says at least one thing, it won't set down roots from further up the vine. Thanks, will keep my thinking cap on.
Thanks,me too!
I checked my sweet autumn clematis tonight...and it sure looks like that to me, Don.
Marcia, can you get a pic of it and the leaves as well as the flowers?
Don, you may want to post this over at the identification forum as well if you can't get it identified here.
Looks like it to me!
Thanks Marcia,great pics!
