A few weeks ago, I was pleased to see that one of my clematis had two blooms. It hasn't bloomed in years. Last year I was given a start of 'Polish Spirit', and a couple days ago, I noticed it is blooming as well. There are two blooms and buds that promise more. We've had a warm, dry summer here, so the sun on their faces must have pleased them. I hope to have such good luck next year.
Clematis 'Polish Spirit'
Beautiful flower! Clematis vines & blooms get better with age. Be patient....it usually takes at least 3 yrs. to get a nice flush of color. Don't forget to feed Clematis during their active growing period (Spring/Summer). They really benefit from Rose fertilizer. Also, spraying to prevent Clematis wilt is also another important reminder.
Thats a beautiful color on that bloom Weez!
