Freak Iris? Four falls!

This is Iris Plicata 'Cutie', this one has four falls. Does this happen very often with Irises? It's not normally a very interesting Iris but this time it's a bit different!

Here's a picture of the normal version of 'Cutie' with 3 falls.

Extra flower parts aren't as common with IBs as they are with SDBs, but they do happen. I've had them happen occasionally with TBs, too. It's also not uncommon to have missing parts.

One of mine did that last year; Starship Enterprise. It is the only one of my irises that ever had 4 falls!

I've had that happen with "Batik" and "Victoria Falls". The "Batik" was nicely formed like yours is, but the "Victoria Falls" was misshapen.
