Mislabelled Epidendrum

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil(Zone 11)

I found this plant in the Botanical Garden, and the tag said it was an Epidendrum durum. Now, 4 months later, I saw a brief description of E. durum, and definetly it didnīt match this plant shape. It said E. durum was an erec, tall plant, with yellowish green flowers, quite unlike this shorty and white flowered one. Does anyone know anything about it?

Are you sure it's an epi?

I am not sure of anything, actually. Until I looked at the label, I couldnīt tell what it was. Now that I know it was mislabelled, I am completely lost.

I think it may be safe to say that it's not an epi b/c it doesn't look like a reedstem. The best way I'd think to id it is to look at online orchid company's pictures (their catalogs) and just compare.

Have you tried going through Jay's site? http://orchidspecies.com

Could it be a typo? How about purum? http://orchidspecies.com/epipurum.htm
