what are these?

these orange eggs, i think are on my asclepsias incarnata 'soulmate' aka milkweed. the second picture shows these little black things that are there when the orange things are gone.
any answers????????? i bought this for the butterflies and i don't want to kill anything good.

Are they aphids?

Can't see clearly in the picture but from experience these orange "things" are aphids.
Debi_z, you should stay a little further away from your subject to get a sharp picture.

They sure look like aphids to me. Maybe all the rain coming up the coast will wash them off. If not, a good solid spray from a hose for a day or two should take care of them. You should be seeing ladybugs there any day now!

Shot was done with a Sony DSC-F717 with a +10 Diopter filter type screw on Macro lens and tomorrow I'm gonna be hunting down some milkweed tussock moth caterpillars with it :) (was too dark today for the shot).

thank you for the information. yup looks like them, and they are spreading about the plant. gotta get on them.
i have some little ones that were red, on another plant stems like these.
i didn't know aphids came in different colors.
