I don't know if this is the best place to post this photo, but thought it iteresting. I have several compost piles-containers. Saw a seedling squash growing in one and since the container was full and waiting to decompose decided to let it grow. This is what it looks like now. It is a very large Patty Pan squash plant. Has lots of Patty Pans and they are good, but now the plant threatens two other compost bins. Donna

I noticed the haybales, saw it mentioned on another thread about growing in haybales?
I've heard of growing potatoes in bales before, I'm going to give the potatoes in bales a try next year.
cheers
Donna, it must like the compost! That's a good looking squash plant.
I love pattypans (small ones) coated in olive oil and some garlic and roasted on the grill. If I have bigger ones, I halve them before grilling but they are not quite as tasty.
