Canning question

We have a carmelized onion jam recipe that we make up - use it for beef, pork, chicken, fish - hey, we like it! The local novelty grocery sells the stuff for $6.50 a jar !!!

Question is, can we 'jar it' sterilized so to make in advance and store? If so, anyone want the recipe?
