Only two cultivars have not begun to ripen. I am getting a little long in the tooth to pick these things and they are running large this year, averageing about 30 lbs for the crown set. Got one 50 pounder already. I try to pick about a dozen a day. Any volunteer help?
ME! ME! ME! I LOVE watermelon...why didn't I make it by your house when I was there? DRAT.
I just told SO this evening that I would love some good melon. We go to the store and when I see that they are sold BY THE POUND...then I remember all the ones I bought when I lived in Florida...for much less!!
