Last year I planted some double hollyhock which had lovely deep pink blossoms, this year to my surprise they are a very deep purple, almost black, what happened?
Also thanks for your info about cornflowers, I might add about the fields of of wheat sprinkled with wild poppies. Guess New England does not grow weeds like poppies and cornflowers.
